A must do surf lesson was brilliant with Kona Mike’s. Eric and Christian took us out, we had great fun and all of us (incl 10 and 8 year old) all stood up and had great rides. Highly recommended.
We had a great time. Easy to book online and very polite and professional. They made our first time surfing easy and seemingly effortless. Highly recommend. Brandon was very encouraging and made sure that we caught multiple waves and even got up on our boards. Great dudes.
My husband and I had a great time during our surf lesson with Brent! He was wonderful during the whole time we spent together, helping us in everyway possible! We were both able to catch waves and had loads of fun!

Man oh man. What a day my wife and I just had! We are here on our honeymoon and I wasn’t gonna leave without surfing for the first time. Kona Mike was THE BEST surf instructor on this island. My wife use to surf when in high school down in Florida (8 years back) and she informed me that he was the best of the best when it comes to breaking everything down so we knew what to do. Two girlfriends and I booked lessons and went out to surf with Mike in Kona and we had the greatest experience! Thanks to Mike, from the very beginning we felt comfortable and confident and we had such a fun time. We caught waves instantly and they kept on coming. We have surfed with Kona Mike and his crew 5 times in during our last 3 trips to the Big Island. It’s always a highlight of our vacation, all three of our boys (ages 8, 5, and 3) listed it as the top of a long list of activities this year.
