Kona Grill Denverv - The Best – I had a great experience at the Denver Kona Grill. My girlfriend and I had a nice evening out that included dinner at Kona Grill. I read some reviews on this site but was keeping an open mind and was very impressed. The service was great for starters, our sever was very pleasant and knowledgeable about their menu. The food was very decent, it had an island flair, an asian accent, but still still very recognizable. Their Mac Chicken is to die for. All and all I would recommend Kona Grill Denver... read more

Passive Aggressive Service – What is going on w/ our younger generation? What's happening in high schools and colleges now? The hostess and servers are so young, yet behave as though life has already taken them out and holding them down. Sad. Here's what to expect if you eat here and possess an intimidating quality (look successful, good, enjoying life): - Smile in your face BUT does everything wrong (how else can they manipulate a decent tip from you). - SLOW service, so if you don't have time to spare... - Dirty looks and ... read more

dreadful, dreadful, dreadful – we came from Boulder to shop and specifically eat at Kona. we were the first and only ones there when we ordered pizza and sushi ( 2 of us) they came out together, shrimp was tempura and COLD I asked the waiter who stated it was cold as they were waiting for pizza??(no way it was cooked today!) Isnt that his job to coordinate so both are hot? Talked to manager who came with liquor breath! pizza dough was commercial , not made fresh a great dissapointment!

OK happy hour prices, everything else about it is weak – The ONLY reason to come here is for the happy hour. You can get sake bombs and and mediocre sushi and/or pizza for reasonable prices. The outdoor patio is nice. The catch is that it's always crowded and not easy to get a table. Plus, it's crowded with $30K annual income, living off American Express, tool bags pre-gaming before they head down to some Lodo ultra-lounge. Overall, it's OK, but for a better late-night happy hour in Cherry Creek, head to Tambien between 2nd ... read more

Poor service from beginning to end – I Valet parked at Cherry Creek Mall and was asked it I had ever parked there before (the young man had a very condescending attitude). I don't drive a Porsche but I valet park sometimes. I was meeting a friend, told the Hostess my name and my parties name, I was seated by the kitchen, there were lots of open table throughout the restaurant. I sat there for 10 minutes before I was greeted by my waiter, well not really greeted , he said he'd be right back. 10 minutes later he asked if I wan... read more

Great location, good food – Kona Grill is one of the best places to eat in Cherry Creek. Their patio is great, it's covered so you can sit there throughout the year. It's always packed though so it's very hard to get a table out there. The dining room was very nice, with great booths. We went for dinner on a weeknight without a reservation and there was no wait for the dining room. The service was good. We were missing one set of silverware and the waiter didn't notice and he also didn't bring out plates for sushi until we a... read more

Good food Bad service – Good food, bad service. I've been there twice for the California Rolls, they are delicious. The problem is that the service is so bad. I went a second time with friends, our appetizer came out with no plates not silverware, and our drinks were not delivered yet. I signaled for the manager to get some water, and he looked like he could have cared or less. He did bring the water (very unfriendly) and we finally got our drinks and the rest of our order. Bad service with good food is not a good combinatio... read more

Best burger & fries ever... – I love hamburgers, just love 'em and try 'em everywhere I go. If you've never had a Kona Grill burger and fries, you are truly missing Denver's finest! The burger is so big I usually split it with whomever I go there with.....you simply cannot eat one by yourself. The meat is delicious, Consistently, perfectly cooked to order and served on a wonderful, fresly baked bun. I don't care for cheese on my burgers so always ask them to leave it but otherwise you get I think it's 2-3 different kinds mel... read more

Needs to learn how to cook a filet med-rare – I was there last night Sun 2/11 and the service was slow, though there weren't many customers, so I'm not sure why. I ordered the filet med-rare and it came out quiet rare. I had to send it back and I noted to the waitress to make sure they do not cook it med, but be sure to stop at med-rare. It came back very medium! So, I sent it back again... third time they FINALLY got it right. If you're going to pay $25 for a filet, it better be right! Then I wanted dessert and espresso the... read more
