The service and atmosphere were good. However, approximately 30 minutes after our group left, all of us (even those not in the same household) became incredibly ill. We can’t say for certain what caused it, but we suspect it may have been related to undercooked eggs or meat we ate. Unfortunately, given the experience, we can no longer recommend this restaurant.
Kona Craft Cafe is breakfast and lunch spot in Carlsbad Village Drive and former home site of the very popular Daily News Cafe. My husband wanted to try this new kitchen; a tip from a workmate and was excited about the Hawaiian spin on breakfast. Great food and atmosphere! Had the island pancakes and c-bad burrito and both were excellent!
Disappointed with the food here. All of the entrees we got were completely subpar. Honestly things only thing decent was the fresh squeezed orange juice and fries. The spam musubi, French dip, and cowboy Benedict were completely and utterly flavorless. Would not recommend.
