I had a 24-hour labor at Kona Community Hospital and felt very well taken care of. The staff was supportive and kind, and Nurse Megan was exceptional—caring, calm, and incredibly supportive. I’m very thankful for the experience and the care I received.
I got emergency delivered by an ambulance to this hospital for anaphylaxis from Jellyfish stings while swimming the Kailua pier ironman course. The care was exceptional, I've never experienced such caring doctors and nurses. I was personally impressed with all the staff and have never felt I was in such good hands. Even as some folks got off shift, they would stop in to wish me well. Thank you Kona Community hospital, and especially Greta for your kindness.
Awesome community hospital.
We have had a wonderful experience here overall. Like anywhere, there are opportunities for improvement. The staff are what really stand out. So caring and professional. No one wants to be in the hospital for palliative care. The staff here made a real difference in keeping my husband comfortable during this time of transition. Our family and friends were welcomed graciously over the course of his stay.
