We have been coming here for years but saw a decline in the cleaning service. We would put the sign on the door and the room was not cleaned, garbage was not taken out and new towels were dirty. No replacement soaps, shampoo and conditioners were left in the bathrooms. The pool was dirty and if you sit under the shaded part of the pool be careful a bird likes to shit in the area and it falls on the chairs and pool . Old Florida Keys accommodations. If you love that, you’re home! Homey apartment feel. All apartments are different and individually owned. Can be hard to find a boat slip. Only boats less than 23 feet allowed. First come, first served. Dock easy in/out. No pets allowed. Retro, not modern accommodations. Literally bring all of your own supplies except kitchenware, bath towels, and sheets. Pool is not heated. No shore swimming or snorkeling area available. Paddleboard and Kayak friendly.

Too much good to say about Kon Tiki but I'll start with the staff. As soon as you walk into the office, you feel like your back with old friends that you've known for a lifetime. Laughing, joking around, just good down to earth people. Louie, Steve and Debra are the best. I had left some items in the room and departed without them and received a call notifying me and within a day, I coordinated with Debra to have the items mailed to me.
