Monday I got a letter from a tow company stating our van that was at Kollmar was impounded by the state patrol as it had been abandoned on southbound 509. We thought it must have gotten stolen from Kollmar's lot but as I was on the phone with the tow company the lady informed me that Ted Kollmar was on the other line trying to setup a time to come and get his tools out of the van. Kollmar rescued us from the problem the Mercedes dealer simply could not fix. After spending hundreds of dollars to repair the glow plug system at the dealer, the problem remained and all the dealer could say was "spend more money." Kollmar quickly diagnosed the problem as a broken wire in the harness and fixed it. These folks have the knowledge, tools, and skills to keep these complex vehicles running. I would give 0 star if I could. I'm having the same problem as the previous reviewers said about this place. All the previous actual technicians, who were doing the great work, do not work there any longer, and now the Kent shop is closed!! The owner was not be able to fix the problem; he left my van underivable! Like the previous reviewer said, I also had my van towed to a dealer (who fixed the problem within a day!). SAME problem as the last two reviewers. Ted couldn’t fix my vehicle; in fact, after two weeks, he left it in an underivable condition. Finally had it towed (mind you it drove fine when I left it with Ted), to a dealer who fixed it in 24 hours (vehicle was with Ted for almost two weeks!). Dealer replaced a bad part (a part I paid Ted several hundred dollars to replace!); so I paid twice for the part (once to Ted, once to the dealer.). Ted: I WANT MY MONEY BACK! Had my van towed to the work shop on a Wednesday around lunch time because I broke down on my way out of Seattle. Was told they would at least be able to look at it that night, which they didn't. They're busy so that's not the main problem. The main problem was when I showed up early the next day at the time they said they were opening.
