BAD COCKROACH INFESTATION!! We stayed here for 5 nights in Aug 2025 and unfortunately our experience was ruined by a persistent roach infestation inside our unit. On the very first night, we killed six live roaches indoors. Over the next two days, we encountered several more inside--including one crawling near my foot while we were eating at the kitchen table--which terrified my children. Horrifying Health Hazard – Stay Away from Unit 7D at Kolea (Waikoloa Vacation Rentals) We rented Unit 7D for 9 nights, a 3-bedroom, 3-bath, ground-floor condo at the Kolea Beach Resort through Waikoloa Vacation Rentals. Don't look for a single thing to complain about because you won't find it. Amazing place to vacation.
This is our 4th time staying at Kolea villas and we always have a wonderful time. We love the beautiful villas and the location. We enjoy walking to the beach, hotel, shops, restaraunts and the Hilton. This time though, our condo 7A, which has an amazing location was not as clean as we expected; outdoor cushions, kitchen chair cushions and the floors were dirty. 2 lights were burned out and one toilet was not workling propertly.
