I am not sure which Kolb Electric to review but we live in Virginia and our emergency electrician drove at 10 pm to reach us from Maryland. He was very knowledgeable and diagnosed our problem immediately. We would definitely use Kolb again.

WoW! One month later and we're still not done. All we wanted was to replace some outdoor fixtures. Last month Brandon Kolb came to provide an estimate. At that time I pointed out that two fixtures were low voltage (12 volt) outdoor fixtures. Keep in mind that Kolb lists on their website that they are outdoor lighting experts. Brandon recommended that any 120 volt fixture would be fine. He was WRONG. Plus, he never provided a written estimate. I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but I do have a few notes for this business: 1) genuinely awful customer service over the phone. I got hung up on multiple times just trying to make an appointment. 2) they will tell you a time range (e.g 8am to Noon) where the technician will arrive and they will try to show up at 4pm, making scheduling completely unpredictable, which is problematic when you also have a day job you’re trying to work around. 3) I got so frustrated with their lack of care and service that I just went ano... read more

I wanted a exterior outlet installed so I could "plug in" my motor home (RV) at home. I made a appointment with Kolb Electric, a technician (assessor) came out, and I provided a quote a couple days afterwards. The quote was for $950 which was fair. However, the quote was incorrect. The RV outlet requires a 30amp 120 volts not 240 volts that was referenced in my quote. I asked for the quote to be amended. That when Kolb Electric went dark. A simple heavy up of my panel has dragged on for nearly a year. They tired to bury a 50 amp cable 6 inches deep in my yard and tried to tell me it was up to code. Permits are not closed out and the company does not return my calls. I picked them because I thought they were reputable but have had nothing but bad experiences with them.
