We had a horrible experience. I have had several dogs euthanized and this was by far the worst, I cannot get the whole experience out of my mind and every time I think of it I cry. First Laurelle Danton was 25 minutes late which already made me more upset. She then sat there making excuses about the rain and telling us all about her problems which I didn’t want to hear. If I could have done it with a different vet - I would have. My dog shook and didn’t look comfortable at all Now I live with deep remorse that I wish my dogs death was more peaceful. My second dog passed not too long after and his in home Euthanasia was way more professional and peaceful.
Botched our home euthanasia badly, caused extreme suffering to our beloved dog and trauma to our family, made no admissions the procedure was non-routine, still forced us to hug her and tell stories, reported the entire incident to the board of veterinary medicine, they chose to do nothing. She also encouraged us to look into suing our regular veterinarian. Home euthanasia by bullet would be much more humane.
Dr. Danton made a house call to euthanize our beloved cat, Tucker, last week. She was extremely quick to respond and was such a blessing to our family in this difficult time. She was so patient and kind. She made the very best of a terrible moment in our lives and our sweet boy passed away peacefully in his bed at home. I can never thank Dr. Danton enough for her service to our family.
