Found someone after a seizure and they unfortunately got this doctor. Claimed they didn't have a seizure basically because it wasn't generalized (flailing around), and made a low priority referral to neurology though they were post ictal when I found them. They worked around heavy machinery at the time and have comorbitidities that made a worsening seizure disorder particularly bad for them. As a new resident of the state of Maine last year, I was diagnosed with lymphoma shortly after relocating. As such, I was suddenly thrust into a medical system that was completely unfamiliar to me. Dr. Der Simonian is best physician I've had. She is compassionate, communicative, and patient. She responds thoughtfully to questions and I feel as though she genuinely listens. She and her office deserve props for quick and effective use of their online portal. Finally a doctor's office for the 21st century!
