If I could give this salon more than 5 stars I would!! I've been getting my hair done by Caitlin for about a year now and she's amazing!! You can tell that the staff there really takes pride in their work. And the salon owner is so sweet and kind!! She's helped me find new skincare products that have become holy grails for me (and I'm very picky about what products I use). If you're looking for a clean salon with knowledgeable workers this is the place to go :)

I had such a great experience here during my stay in Hawaii! I came in for the Eminence vitaskin calm skin facial because my skin was seriously going through it--itchy, irritated, and covered in eczema patches. That treatment alone made a noticeable difference and was just what my skin needed! The next day, I came back for a Hydrafacial with the Regen booster to really lock in hydration and wow, it was the perfect follow-up treatment! I’m quite disappointed in the Shellec polish the salon used. It chipped 4 days later. I give this salon a 2 star mostly for the cleanliness and the nail technician I had. As for the rest, extremely pricey for a deluxe manicure (Deluxe meaning massage at the end) Cutting back cuticles are not a part of the manicure and removing previous gel is an extra $20. Oh! And I had to rub my own sugar scrub on myself at the sink. NOT WORTH $140 (including tip) if you ask me.

I love treating myself to spa and salon services. In the last 2 years, I’ve had 3 very relaxing and effective hydrofacials at Kohala Salon. I had 1 with Jenye and 2 with Erika. The service is not cheap or easy to find on the island but the pricing is aligned with other places offering it. My skin loves the product line and Erika and Jenye created a lovely relaxing vibe for my experience. I am a massage therapist (next door at Kohala Spa) and it is worth the trip here from Kona on my day off. While I am thrilled with the resu... read more
