Kogetsu is one of our favorite places to visit every time we come back home to New Hampshire, and it never disappoints! The food is really great! I ordered the Crazy Tuna Roll and crab rangoon, and honestly, both were some of the best I've ever had... even compared to some of our favorite places back in California! Great atmosphere Service was incredible. Our water glass never stayed empty food was excellent. Very fresh.
I ordered takeout - spicy dumplings and a sushi entree. I was told it would be ready in 20-25 minutes. I arrived right around the 25 minute mark. After waiting about 10 minutes, I was told they were waiting on the sushi. It took another 15 minutes before I finally got the food.
They have fallen in quality and value in the economic downturn. The pork fried rice has no egg, onion, and microscopic pieces of pork. I think they are now just shredding pork into the brown rice. I spent over $40 on takeout and my bag was a thin see through bag that I needed to hold from underneath to prevent it breaking. Every other bag was a real fancy looking bag, but mine was to meant to humiliate for not spending over $50... In short, quality is way down and prices rose significantly. Man, do I miss YenYen's...
I have been going to this place for many years, before it was under this name. It has always been a wonderful place for delicious Asian cuisine and continues in this tradition. One can find a variety of dishes from sushi to low mein and everything in between. As a vegan, I tend to stick to certain appetizers and soup, but there are plenty of vegetarian dishes that you can ask to be vegan.
