I'm an aspiring wood worker and visited Scott's studio to get some inspiration and just talk to another wood worker. He is an awesome person, who took out time to give me and my wife, a tour of his place and shared so many valuable tips. His studio has so many beautiful designs and one of my favorite piece was the walnut base electric guitar he designed. If you happen to be in Santa Cruz, I would highly recommend a visit.
Joey is a Great guy. He has even better wood. If your looking for beautiful hand crafted furniture sourced sustainably and LOCALLY, this is your guy.
Joey is awesome. They have a great selection of premium wood for the wood worker. Just looking around the studio, I could see the craftsmanship he puts into the pieces he finishes. I decided to finish the shelves I'm making myself but he was very open to giving me suggestions and tips which was crucial (type of finish, drilling, sanding, etc). Will definitely be checking in with him for future projects I might have.
