I transferred to this clinic after my vet off 11 years retired. First thing I notice walking in, is it always smells like string urine. Does not smell clean. I understand pets can be stinky, but it smells this way every time! I met with Dr. Koch the first time with my dog. He seems knowledgeable and nice. My dog needed his leg amputated due to a recurring tumor that was malignant. Surgery was successful. However, he came home with kennel cough and gave it to my other three dogs. I have taken my animals to Koch and Dtigve for over 10 years and have not once had a bad experience nor have I whitnessed anything like the below comments about neglect and such. I moved almost an hour away and still bring my animals here only. The staff is the most compassionate people I have ever met and will continue to bring my babies here.

We have used this practice for a very long time. They do care about your animals. They are a large and small animal practice which suits all of our needs. They are prompt in calling back in emergencies and they don't charge an arm and a leg for procedures. If I can do it myself, they tell me what to do and that is awesome as well!

I read the bad posts about this place, but i have never seen anything like that during my visits with this vet. They have always been more than helpful, their prices are outstanding and I have never felt that they didnt care about my pet or me. I reccomend Koch-Stigge to everyone that asks about vets. They have made special arrangments for me to pick up medicine when i couldnt get off work before their offices have closed. All around A+ vet.

I see some pretty negative reviews here and I don't know why. When my old dog was beyond help my regular vet wouldn't come to my home to put him down. Out of the blue I called Dr Stigge and he came out as soon as he could. He also came to my aunt's for the same reason and without prior arrangement. I now use Dr Stigge for my vet needs and I couldn't be more pleased. He is primarily a farm vet and doesn't hold your hand much, but he exhibits compassion for the animal, which is what is most important.

We found a sweet little stray dog on the side of the road and took him there to be checked out. They gave him his shots and told us everything was fine. A few weeks later, we came home and our sweet boy wouldn't get up. We called the emergency line and waited 45 mins for a call back, when I finally did get a phone call, the Dr said it was probley just a fever and to take a suringe and push water down his throat. This experience was the most horrific vet experience I have ever had, and I heed warning, that the situation is disturbing, so I suggest not reading if you feel it will be hard to handle. I visited Koch-Stigge Veterinary clinic after relocating from another state. Tigger, my 15 year old cats health had fallen faster than we could handle. When my phone rang and I answered it,my daughter was crying so badly that I couldn't understand her. I have gone to this vet for a couple of years with my dog,and after hearing what they did and what they put my daughter through,I will never go back there.
