Update- it was Friday 6/21. And it was your karage appetizer. I showed it to you and your wait staff. We all threw up after lunch and had stomach problems after this meal. That was our only meal of the day and needless to say we all ate nothing the until now, exactly 24 hours later. Look at Hongda Jiang review from a year ago. One of my all time favorite place to eat Katsu... hopefully the owner didn't sell the business... Saw a whole different set of crew, with a slightly decrease in food quality and services. Our waiter was noticeably tired during opening, and wasn't as enthusiastic as previous staffs. If they were 10/10 before, they are more so at around 7.5/10 now.
It was crunchy and tastes good. I honestly can’t tell the difference between the porks. I particularly liked the cheese. I recommend getting the sampler to try all of them
The food was great but definitely expensive. The portions are large that we regretted getting one per person. So we asked for boxes and the lady was very stringent with the boxes. When we asked for one more, she said to pack the rice, curry and the chicken together. My husband mentioned he didn't want the katsu chicken to get soggy and she said it was served like that anyways.
