Kobe manager is rude! – My son took his date and another couple to dinner at this Kobe on Hwy 50 near Alafaya. After dinner he left a 15% tip. The manager approached my son and told him that the gratuity wasn't enough! Tips aren't required and he paid the standard tip anyway!!!! NEVER GO TO THIS KOBE IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE A PAYING GUEST!!! The manager was a woman and I plan to call and express myself to her this evening! Again, don't go to this place if you want to choose how much to tip your waiter and remember 15%... read more
Love it or leave it alone! – This is my second visit to a Kobe's resturant in orlando but my first to this particular location and it was just as enjoyable. The atmostphere and the food are both excellent. It's a really great location and I recommend this place for anyone who loves japanese food.
Lousy service poor food – Poor service and overly expensive. Had to keep asking to get my water refilled. Kept pushing "drinks" on me, and I don't drink. $90 for dinner and had to get a burger on the way home. Never go there again.
Japenese restaurant? Not hardly – There are several fine choice for Japenese food in Roanoke; however, Kobe is not one of them. So part of eating at a Japenese restaurant is the "show", right? You get to sit and watch while the cook prepares your food right in front of you. But how much fun is it when the person cooking your food acts like a robot? He doesn't do the volcano, he doesn't do the cho cho train, he merely throws your food on the grill, cooks it and serves it, then he leaves. Now IF thre food was good you could ov... read more
Awesome Food and Service – Kobe was an incredible experience, the waitresses were helpful and the food was incredible. The chef who cooked are food was a bit quieter than most Japaneses hibachi's but other than that all way well. The prices were very reasonable and the Fillet Mignon was to die for. Service impeccable decent show. Make sure to get reservations because if not you may be waiting for a while.
Best teppanyaki I have found on several continents! – Better tasting, cheaper and less commercialized than the Benihana a couple blocks away. This is definately a case of being rewarded for venturing off the beaten track. Oh, and you have to stop and see the parrots at the littl gift shack down the street - they charge for photos but are soooo cute!
Among the Best Teppanyaki Options – I've had a lot of Teppanyaki meals in my lifetime and this was among the most entertaining meals I've had in a long time. Our chef was very into the food preparation and allowed everyone at the table to try something extra that may have been cooked. Be aware that the fried rice is $3.50 but in my opinion is well worth it -- you can have garlic added to it and it's simply amazing. I ordered the chicken and steak combo but I think you would get more food if you simply ordered one or the othe... read more
