We are Vera and Brent Deckard, Künstler Brewing's owners and brewers. German for "artist," Künstler takes one part Bavarian Tradition, one part Texas Pride, and brews it all down in the multicultural barrel that is San Antonio. Me and my girlfriend wanted to sit outside. We sat ourselves like usual. Waited a while and a guy walking past us said we needed to pick up a coaster. So we did, within that 30 seconds a person took our spot with a dog, and they brought them out a coaster to his table! So our table got jacked and he got a coaster brought to him. Lecturing someone on parking in between non existent/extremely faded lines is a bad way to start a day. Fix your parking lot. Not being greeted on walking in because staff was too busy high fiving each other and chatting away added to the unwelcoming environment. I guess happy birthday to me. Fix your parking lot if you want to be strict about it and not having guests trying to play games trying to find the lines. Fix your attitude.
We loved everything about Kunstler! We say out in the beautiful backyard which had beautiful landscaping, a playground for our kids, and plenty of shaded tables. Ordering was easy and we received our food quickly. We ordered the large cheese plate, brats, pretzel, and beet salad and all the plates surpassed our expectations. They were all incredibly fresh with great portion sizes. We will definitely be back!
