My husband and I have both had very bad experiences at Knox Private Hospital. A lot of the Nurses don’t care or are over worked. Some Drs are rude and don’t discuss the problem. The Hospital gives priority to out patients for scans and in Patients can wait 5 days for a heart scan. My husband rang me during the night as he had pressed the buzzer to go to the toilet and no one came it was an hour. I rang through reception and no one answering the ward. My son was referred to ED due to PR bleeding. We waited for 3hrs in the waiting room without getting anything done but only paperwork and payment of $470. We asked the ED staff and was told it's been this type of long waiting practice and he couldn't do anything because he's just an employee. So we left and headed to Boxhill ER from triage, tests and consultation done in less than 3hrs eventhough they are way busier than Knox. Talking about efficiency of private hospital ED vs public hospitals.

This hospital is a complete disappointment. It's a private facility, yet the service was worse than any public hospital I’ve been to. We waited over three hours with no explanation, and only when we threatened to leave did they let us in. The staff were completely disorganized and indifferent. Even after getting into the ward, we continued to wait while the doctor casually wandered around doing nothing. Paying nearly 500 for this level of negligence is outrageous. Please go to somewhere hospital. The rudest staff and they just treat you like unwanted person. They don't even respond in a required manner. Please save yourself stress and go somewhere else

My partner develop a pretty bad skin rash after a minor surgery the day before. The triage nurse gave my partner an anti-histamine without even looking at his rash. Ok, fair enough it's an OTC meds but at least check first the area and pretend you care. They bill $475 before doing any admission paperwork. For that amount of money, we shouldn't be expected to be waiting for more than 1 hr. 3 hours into waiting, we decided that things are hopeless in this hospital and all the reviews are right.
