The restaurant has grown over the years into one of the largest in California, but the classic fried chicken dinner is still made the same way today using Mrs. Knott's recipes.

Third time coming to this restaurant and it's the same every time. The staff is nice enough but not entirely friendly. No extra plates offered to us when our appetizers were served. We asked for the plates but they didn't arrive until our entrees did. We were forced to use napkins to divide our onion rings and mozerlla sticks amongst ourselves. TERRIBLE!! Service was underwhelming and they were very disinterested in their guests. The chicken was overcooked in all 4 meals, which were the fried, the roasted, and the chicken tenders and waffles. The potatoes were so bland and hard I think they could use them for mortar. The cabbage was undercooked and bland. The biscuits were too small (I've heard of 2 bite brownies, but these were only 1 bite biscuits). The chicken soup was fantastic.... maybe maybe better than fried chicken...
They went to a different table and say happy birthday to a little girl and didn't say happy birthday to me on my table and the chicken is cold on my salad and they never grill it on my ceser salad
