During our search for the right person to custom design & build a live edge bench for us, we so fortunately found Dan at Knots & Steel. What a wonderfully creative, skilled crafts-person, a real artist in every way. After helping us chose the slab of black walnut, giving him the dimensions we had to work with, we left, feeling confident we chose the right person for the project. And did we ever! I asked Dan to make me 3 tier stand for my planted aquarium and he came up with a magnificent design using black walnut. He is also a pleasure to work with and has an infectious personality. I recommend anyone to give knots and steel and chance and you won’t be disappointed.

This company isn’t a company. It’s the home of a true artist. I bought a desk and a bar and they are both STUNNING. I have never in my 60 years recommended someone as highly as I would recommend Dan. His creativity has no limits and his care and desire for perfection are obvious in every piece of work he completes. Dan has one flaw only ….he’s a long suffering leaf fan.
