Emergency Care Called Knapps and ask if they had the staff and facilities to treat an injured cat which had bee hit by a car. They assured they competent and able. Upon arrival they said x-ray's would cost an additional $100. After looking at the x-rays they suggested that I would be better served to take the cat to OSU. Cost was $192.50 (for what?) I would not recommend this hospital, unless you enjoy being gouged !!!
waiting room for pets very cool i had to pick up my friends cat from here after getting spayed and they had her in the aiting room which was for pets only! there was the regular waiting room for the owners with their pets but if you had to go to work and pick up the pet later they could keep it for you! i thought that was so neat. and no worries..they had several pet sitters so none of the animals were attacked by others!
WHY WONT U LET UR STAFF MORN THE LOSS OF A 25 YEAR EMPLOYEE I use to at Knapp's for a bout a year. Dr Robert was so mean and nasty. He would call his employee's names if they were not able to hold down a down by themselves. Then just this past week i got word that a great Vet Tech that worked there had pasted away. I called my friend to get the info about his viewing and was told that Dr Robert told his employees that if they call off for the viewing then they will be fired. THAT IS MESSED UP!!!! I love this vet! I have been taking my pets to Knapp's for a couple of years now and I love it! The doctors are all really nice and truely care about my pet's well-being. When my dog was attacked by my neighbors dog they were so helpful, and were able to get me in quickly! So if your looking for a vet who cares, you should really consider going to Knapp's! They've only been around for like some 60 YEARS, so obviously they are doing something right!!!
Not recommended - Over priced and lacking service Our family has been going to Knapp for over three generations and have been happy with them up until last year. The service level and quality of the care has fallen. I do not feel they focus on getting to know the animals and put caring for the pets and the owners in first perspective. I do not feel the care my pets received was in line with what we paid. The cost was out of line! Also they charge $47.50 to just look at your pet!
No artificial inseminations should be done here!!!!!!! I took my female Rottie into this vet to have a artificial insemination done 6 weeks later I had to have her put down due to a mass infection in her vaginal cavity wall, plus she was so anemic she needed multiple blood transfusions and then having this infections for 6 weeks her body was having a hard time fighting it off. my regular vet does not do artificial insemination so I took my female here. when I took this dog to my regular vet and did blood work and xrays there... read more
Knapp I worked at this Hospital for a few years and trust all of the Vets with my two dogs. My daughter works at another Vet Hosp in my area and I have the option to receive discounted Veterinary care at that Hosp for my pets. I choose to pay full price for the excellent care provided to my pets and have no regrets. I have had the chance to get to know these Veterinarians, technicians and receptionists and I know how well they care for all of the pets that that pass through their doors (not just employees pets). Trust your animals care to Knapp Vet Hospital. There is a reason that Knapp Vet Hospital has been in business for over 60 years. The new facility is wonderful and the staff are very competent and caring. You should trust in the work they do and know they are looking out for the best interest of your beloved 4 legged family member. Dr. Paul is hard to get to see since he is semi-retired but his son Dr. Robert Knapp is awesome. I trust him completely. Big Buck Vet We have 3 dogs and 2 cats, all of whom have been treated by Knap Vets. Dr. Knapp (sr.) is excellent but the hospital is getting too big as one feels like an anonymous number in the care of any doc other than Knapp himself. I suspect continuity of care will be a problem in the future as well. Additionally, we've found their prices to be excessive as there is no multiple pet discount.
