I took a 1911 slide in to have a wide tendon cut and the sight also, told them I’d install the sight myself, just recut the narrow slot to a wide one. The sight I wanted is only available in a wide tenon. After about a month they said it was ready. They had installed the sight anyway but it had a business card width between the bottom of the sight and slide making the sight too high,weaker, and unsightly.
