Before becoming a Nurse Practitioner, I spent many years as a nurse, taking care of new moms and their newborns. While working as a bedside nurse, I realized that I wanted to do more to help my patients. I pursued my higher degree to become an ARNP, so I could work directly with patients on creating plans to improve their health, and to increase access to preventative healthcare.
