We paid $1,814.50 and waited six weeks to receive the petition and affidavit, both of which contained incorrect names and factual errors. Our step-parent adoption case is straightforward, as all parties are in agreement. However, Celia requested additional information that was not necessary and prepared an affidavit for the petitioner that, according to the adoption registrar at the Supreme Court, was not required. A Lawyer who was too busy to take me on referred me to the Kitsilano Family Law Group. I signed on with Celia Taylor, Celia had her work cut out for her as my spouse did not think he had to pay any spousal support, nor did he want to.
