Cozy location at the foot of Albany's Solano Ave next to the Post Office, and nearby great eateries. The staff is great, they give good recommendations and your wait (if few or no customers) is short for your order. Than again I usually come for Dinner and hour before closing at 9 pm. The ingredients are fresh, they make vegetables stand out as much as the protein, good seasoning. Is it pricey, yes. Is the food out of this world, it does the job. Nice to have lots of vegan options someplace quick and convenient with a clean aesthetic inside. Ordered the green smoothie and a salad — they were out of the vegan soft serve :/ the citrus salad was bright and tasty but the dressing was a bit thick when first served. Overall decent and healthy.

I have been eating at Kitava since they opened in Oakland and generally like it. But unfortunately portions have been getting smaller and more expensive while the quality drops. My go to is the sesame chicken bowl and I had only four!! pieces of chicken in it today, plus the rice was overcooked (again). Real bummer to leave hungry after spending $20+ bucks (excl drink)!
