Wouldn't recommend, rude receptionist who does not relay information to the doctor, including from insurance, also refused to listen to the insurance and hung up on them. Kitaj herself has an attitude, which includes slamming her hands on the keyboard when you don't take the meds that you said you don't want to take and does not listen to her patients, at all. DR KITAJ AND HER OFFICE STAFF ARE WONDERFUL !!
When I went to Dr Kitaj initially, I was getting migraines 30 out of 31 days a month!! We did a calendar to chart and track my migraines along with a food log to see if there were any possible triggers from foods or drinks. She worked with me and tried different meds than I had previously been given by another doctor. Eventually, we got down to 1-2 a week, and eventually I was freed of them for several months completely. This was not an overnight process. I've been with Dr Kitaj for over 10 years now and she is amazing. She takes thr time to listen, problem solve and is willing to try different things to treat migraines. I send everyone I know her way because I trust her!
The receptionist is rude and non caring. I asked for my medical records a month ago. I have yet to receive them or a call. When I called last week asking when my records would be ready. The receptionist stated that their other people ahead me requesting their records as well. So it takes time. She hung up on me after I mentioned HIPAA. This is a very small office in Southbury Ct.
