Very delicious food. Locally sourced and extremely fresh. The setting is very intimate and cozy, and the service was spot on. Karen was our waitress and she was great. The only reason why this wasn't a 5 star review was the prices. While the food was delicious, the experience wasn't transcendental. You want a meal in this price category to be something to brag about, and the meal didn't do that. While definitely worth the visit and a repeat, it's missing something to make it a truly 5 star experience.
Those 3 stars are for the service, which was professional and caring. But I was disappointed with the food, which I found overpriced for what was offered. The Mediterranean salad, delightfully described in the menu, was no more than a small dinner plate of greens with a few black olives. The appetizer, which spoke of escargot? Well, I think I missed that ingredient entirely. The coq au vin, while tasty, wasn't special enough for $22. All in all, they need to upgrade their dishes to lure me back! Sorry, Kismet.
