Very Authentic Japanese Cuisines – My wife and I visited Kisaku on Saturday with our friends who are American. Although the restaurant was packed, our server (Japanese) was very attentive and friendly. Since we wanted to try something new, I requested Chef Tasting menu ("Omakase") the day before which was $50 per person (usually Chef Tasting menu needs to be requested 2 - 3 days ahead of time, though). It came with 7 course staring with seasonal appetizer plate followed by series of real authentic Japanese foods. 2nd course ... read more
My Favorite Japanese Restaurant in Seattle – I come here all of the time. This place is awesome, but you gotta know what to order! When in doubt, sit at the sushi bar and ask the sushi chefs what they have that's fresh, good and recommended. They will not steer you wrong! The service is attentive, the restaurant is clean and well put together, and the food is very good. If you want a real treat, call in and order the Omakase dinner. This is a special Chef's choice prix fixe meal that comes in several price options. If you're... read more
Caterpillar roll is the best – Generous portions, fresh fish, lovely presentation, pleasant service. The caterpillar role was amazing as was the nigiri salt water eel was delightful. We ordered several roles, my husband had a plate of sashimi, that he loved but the best part was the bill. I was shocked at how little we paid for several rolls and a bottle of sake. We will be going back.
Sushi for the soccer mom set, this tony Green Lake spot offers familiar and exotic flavors to please neighborhood clientele. – The Scene Wallingford families with sushi-munching kids sit next to well-heeled Japanese patrons at this welcoming Japanese restaurant in Tangletown. The decor is casually bright, modern and clearly Ikea-inspired. Patrons can sit at the U-shaped sushi bar or snag a table and watch the action as the sushi chef slices, dices and makes short, elegant work of his raw materials. The Food True to its neigh... read more
the tuna tartare is to die for – Kisaku regulars like to keep this amazing hidden treasure a secret, and for good reason. The restaurant is both comfortable and romantic, with both plentiful personal space and conversation buzz. The fish is fresh and portions are generous, with rolls varying from 4-8 pieces. Their tuna tartare appetizer is so good, you might have to take a minute alone to reflect on how glorious life is. I have had all types of sushi here, and the albacore, fatty tuna, and salmon are all amazing. The Walling... read more
Great sushi.... – I've only been in a couple of times for lunch, but what a great place. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Great staff.... The sushi is as good as anywhere in Seattle. The Copper River Salmon was AWESOME. Everything tasted very fresh and was presented very well. Good beer, wine and sake selection.
Really Great – This is another great Sushi Find in Seattle. I loved the Kisku Roll, and the place just has a good vibe. Keep up the good work!
The Best Sushi in Seattle – We go to Kisaku at least once every 2 weeks - the best sushi in Seattle. Ask for omakase (chef's choice) if you are adventurous - Nakano-san and his staff are skilled chefs. We are sushi-heads to be sure, and the quality of fish here compares to what you get at Nobu (NYC), Matsuhisa (LA), Bar Masa (NYC)...at fabulous neighborhood prices. A gem.
My favorite sushi spot for years! – Been eating here since Kisaku opened. LOVE IT. sit at the bars ask Nakano for recomendations. The kobachi is always a treat, excellent agadashi tofu, Greenlake roll, Wallaingford roll and Devil's Vegtable roll are all favorites of mine. Try the sesame passionfruit dessert . great service fresh food. always a pleasure!
