Kirkland Metal Shop has been in business in Vancouver for more than 100 years. I first used this company about 25 years ago, to install a gas fireplace in my home. And recently to service that fireplace, and a forced air gas furnace, as well. The owner, and 'hands-on' technician, at Kirkland, "Barney" did the required work on the furnace. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had Kirkland Cooling and Heating install a new gas log set (G46 NG, 30” burner with safety pilot kit and split oak logs) in our fireplace, and we’re so happy with how it turned out. Mike, who came to do the work, was incredibly polite and patient—he really took the time to make sure everything was just right, which we really appreciated. My old furnace installed by Kirkland 20 years ago needed replacing. I contacted them and another large Vancouver heating company for quotes. Kirkland was competitive, as has been our previous experiences with them for our old furnace as well as our water heater and gas fireplace. The installation was very quick and neat and the installers were friendly and answered our questions. Overall it was a very good experience and I highly recommend their services.
Our furnace wasn't heating about half of the time it was supposed to... I spoke to our plumber and he recommended Kirkland Metal Shop. Barney showed up a little while later, had a look. Came back to clean the burner tubes and flame sensor and things have been running smooth ever since. Prompt, friendly, and very reasonable. Not related to this service, but I remember going to their old shop on East Boulevard about 15 years ago or so... needed a piece of stainless steel to cover a gap by a cooktop. Bernie and his team fixed our 30+ year old Heatilator gas fireplace after many gas fitters said it couldn’t be done. I greatly appreciate the professionalism of Kirkland Metal Works and the dedication to fix this gas fireplace saving our family thousands of dollars in replacement costs and the certain disruption of our lives if we had to replace it with a new one.
