I absolutely loved my experience at BYU Idaho! It's been a huge blessing in my life for many reasons. I met my husband here. I also pursued a degree in nursing and basically had my tuition paid for and both my husband and I graduated debt free! Almost every day I feel grateful for the opportunity to have a degree in nursing. I currently work part time for an outstanding hospital in Arizona and I feel incredibly blessed that it means I only work two days a week so I can spend the majority of my time at home with our son. Talk about suppression of ideas and individuality. This school tries to control every aspect of your lives and once the honor office gets a sniff of anything against the honor code, they'll expel or suspend those students without proving or verifying a breach in school policy. It's like a freaking witch hunt there. I met a lot of great people at BYUI, but the institution (and city) are so restrictive to your life that it stamps out all the benefits of attending the school. I graduated and am so relieved that I never have to ... read more
I have always struggled with school, but here I have found loving professors who want me to succeed and who willingly give me their attention. At BYU-Idaho, the student takes top priority. This University has given me an chance to learn what it takes to be a good student, as well as a clearer vision of the man and father I want to be. I have had every opportunity to succeed here, and I would not hesitate to recommend the school to anyone.
Its a life changing university for me. A real discipleship training place.
This is just the rating for I-Learn 3.0 and not the school itself because I love this school. I-Learn 3 is always down for maintenance! We need to have it fixed so that it is not down every single night, on top of this I-Learn not taking away assignment when they are finished, and just overall pain it is to try and maneuver around.
I think BYU is one of the world biggest institution.
Good school, good price and a fantastic environment with great teachers. But the learning model is terrible, I learn 3.0 is horrible and if you wear shorts and want a nice clean beard, you're a sinner and not allowed on campus. Lol.
The school is great. The new I-learn 3.0 is horrible though. This is my second semester at BYU-I and have received A's in every class except one and that was a B still. Right now I have A's in 3 classes that use the 2.0 and a D- and an F in the two classes that use the new I-learn 3.0 because I keep missing assignments and I even missed an exam because I didn't realize it was due. It is not user friendly at all and I am praying they decide not to switch to it full time. I-learn 2.0 is so much better. I don't have to spend 20... read more
The spirit on campus is one of a kind. I couldn't ask for a better college.
