Doesn't listen, nor make good recommendations. Went in for knee pain, and she gave me a mental health counselor referral, despite not ever mentioning this. Per the office manager I apparently indicated it on my forms... So how does that override my appt for knee pain? Ibuprofen doesn't heal damage. I had a congenital mitral valve condition. He performed the TAVR procedure with an excellent outcome. Awesome doctor and staff.
I am deeply disappointed with the care and service provided at this office. The staff is consistently rude, unhelpful, and unprofessional, often arguing with patients openly in front of others—a behavior that is both inappropriate and disrespectful. Dismissive and uninterested. Came in trying to get a hospital bed for my completely debilitating neck pain due to osteoarthritis at age 24. Needed the bed so I could incline it and sit up because I quite literally lay in bed all day, every day. And also to have a grab-bar thing so I can actually sit up and get out of bed without so much effort and extra pain. I am healthy & my insurance pays for annual physicals. On my 1st physical and blood draw she was concerned my white count was too low. I'm plant-based and this is normal: more important are B12, D, and Omega 3. Year two was the first time I found out I needed D & Omega 3 tests. She tested and both were low. I started taking D and Omega 3 supplements. Year three she tested for D, B12, but said there wasn't a test for Omega 3. Please do not go here. I encountered a careless individual, this doctor will not release your lab work and the staff avoids messages which is worse. She will spend less than 5 minutes with you that she is quick at and also at charging your insurance. This puts medical professionals to shame. Had i known how my consultation would go I could have saved my insurance and conpay. Please avoid this person she does not care about her patients.
Dr. Colon is fine. The problem is his support staff, especially his nurse, Lindsay. Prescriptions and billing issues are inevitable. Example: my prescription authorization was submitted 4 weeks after Dr. Colon wrote it, and they directly lied about it being sent 'multiple times' with no paper trail to support it. You'll also get billed wrong, ex: your annual wellness visit WILL be charged under the guise of 'you talked about more in the office than annual wellness'.
Wish the doctor would listen a bit more. Always feels like she can't wait to leave the room. I wish they had samples of some of the medications you are trying.
