Downtown hotel I feel like this boutique hotel is trying to be fancier than it really is. The rooms were nothing special, pretty small, no view. The rooms are nowhere near sound-proof. I heard every door in my wing open and close all night long making it a rough night sleep. They do offer a free happy hour and continental breakfast. Next time I'm in Chicago for business, I'll try the Renaissance across the street or the Westin in the Loop.
The Amalfi ~ Good Business Class Hotel While meeting in Chicago on business, we decided to stay at the Amalfi due to a good Internet rate and having heard good things about it. Really, we left pretty satisfied. This is not what I would classify as a luxury place, although it is decidedly above most chain hotels.
