The location was ok, however, the rooms were fairly outdated and definitely need repairs put into them. There was also an issue with bugs, which after reading some of the other reviews, we can see that it wasnt just us that experienced this. Quite dissapointing considering the price point.
The person at reception was quite unwelcoming at check-in. The room was big but had a weird smell, and there was visible mould in the bathroom. Overall, very disappointing experience.
The good: - Great customer service during check-in - Good location, walking distance to takeaway and groceries The not so good (room 17): - Room door did not feel secure and didn't seem to latch closed properly because it jammed against the door frame as it closed. Used the "chain bolt" latch for peace of mind. - Bathroom window was open on arrival. After closing it I discovered that the drains absolutely stunk, especially the spa bath one. Room 5 We were initially placed in a room next to some tradies, but when we asked to be moved the staff sorted it out straight away with no fuss. The room we ended up in was a good size and nicely laid out, with a proper sofa for watching TV — a big plus for me because I can’t stand watching TV in bed.
