They hire people with little or no training to take care of physically and mentally handicapped persons. They are shown by the current staff how to do their job which includes how to lift a 250 lb. man out of his wheelchair into his bed by using a Hoyer lift. The nursing staff is mainly LPN's and the ancillary staff runs from Kinkaid to several other facilities owned by Florida Mentor.
