I went in because I need dentures, and I had thirteen extractions done under general anesthetic. I was concerned about the amount of pain and my psychiatrist who actually works with many opioid addicts (which I am not) knew this was going to be a really heavy duty surgery and had okayed the release of a few days worth of pain medication, just to get through what was extreme acute post-op pain. Maybe don’t book people for surgery if you’re going to make them wait over an hour past their appointment time. Like I didn’t need to sit in the waiting room for an hour and a half with nerves about my surgery when they didn’t have room for me.
