DECEPTIVE BILLING PRACTICES: We presented to the urgent care due to concerns that our son had strep throat . We asked when registering if the urgent care was separate from the hospital / ER and were told yes. The reason we asked was obviously for billing purposes, as we have an urgent care copay ($50) with our insurance. This copay typically covers point of care testing such as step, flu, etc. that are performed on site.
