We had the pleasure of joining Kingmik dogsledding this winter and it was fantastic! Booking was simple, instructions were clear, transportation was ideal, the tour was a once in a lifetime experience! The short van trip to and from the starting area was really informative and there were photos all over the van of the dogs enjoying life working and in the off season. I have taken many dogsledding trips--ranging from hotel trips to trips in the far reaches of Alaska. Kingmik is now one of my all time favorite places to sled. Megan is amazing. We are in the process of getting a group together for next year. Hopefully the fuel abatement project will be complete by then. Can't wait for our next trip with Kingmik. If I could rank them 6 out of 5 I would.
This is a fantastic experience, which I've done twice now - 18 years ago with my then fiance, and now with our two teenage girls. If I'm honest, I prefered the previous route, which took us to a lake, but this time, I think we had more time with the dogs, which suited my daughters. The only problem being that they were heartbroken to leave them! Even if you're not particularly a "dog person" you can't fail to get so much out of this. Kingmik Dog Sled Tours was the most amazing experience! Our boys loved everything about it. Petting the dogs, driving the sled and riding it- all of it was fun. And you could tell the dogs were so well taken care of and meant for this!!
This was an unforgettable experience. An absolutely mega morning. So enjoyable, informative and exhilarating. The staff were clearly completely committed to the welfare of the beautiful dogs. Would 100% recommend.
