I attended the emergency department after an accident in August 2025 and can not speak highly enough about the staff. They we wonderful.
My husband did a hospital to hospital transfer from the PA to Kingaroy on Melbourne Cup day last year. After 4 days in the "transit lounge" at the PA my son and I drove from Nanango to Brisbane to pick him up as transport could not be found by the PA. We got to the Kingaroy Hospital at 8.15 PM and even though he had a bed allocated he did not get to the ward until 11.30 PM. Why? Good question. He was transferred back for rehab as he had had a lower right leg amputation. Finally a nurse booked him in.
Had to visit the emergency dept Sunday afternoon 22/02/26. I needed someone to check an infectious bite on my hand and possibly have a vaccination. My first impression of the staff was a slovenly rabble that could hardly communicate and instead seemed quite amused by the fact that I might have been bitten by a bat. The Doctor attending me even asked how big it was and if 3ft wide or smaller. In any case, he stated, it was too late for a vaccination.....and just wait and see.
Went to Kingaroy hospital because a child jumped on my broken leg. Upon getting there I was seen pretty quickly by a nurse named Teresa. Teresa has gone above and beyond making sure i am ok, and she’s super friendly and nice.
