I recently took my car in for a roadworthy certificate and was advised that the suspension needed repairs. The cost of the repair came up to $590 which then later was increased to $930 because additional parts were needed and the work was carried out without informing me . However, when I paid using Afterpay, I was charged a total of $1,007. The invoice only shows a 2.2% card surcharge, which is fairly standard, but it does not state anywhere in the invoice that an additional 6% Afterpay surcharge would be applied. I would not recommend these mechanics at all. I have walked in several times and stood at the front counter waiting for someone to acknowledge my existence but nope, completely ignored on several occasions. I thought I would give them one last chance today, I took my husbands Navara in as it's been playing up, slipping gears, no power etc, walked in and the owner was playing with his son, didn't say anything to me, so I waited and waited again, then he pulls his phone out and starts showing me videos of his son. I recently got my car serviced back in February by a local Kingaroy mechanics. I had some trouble with an oil leak. I had to take my car back twice for this business to have the job done to what I would have assumed was correct. Unfortunately a weekend away and another oil leak later ~ which led to damaging my engine, it turns out that this local business replaced my oil hose with a coolant hose… which is NOT oil resistant.
