Clay, I am heartsick at the apparent loss of precious memories of my children -- all on vhs. Please, please understand that I would rather have my tapes returned than my money back. I can forgive the breach of trust, but please just make a way to return my tapes. Is there anything you can do to make this right?
So very disappointed. Yes I understand deaths in the family, but I took my dv's and other tapes in there in February 2014. Went to pick them up a few days later, got a story about a worker being gone because of a death in the family. Went on the road, tried to call too many times to count, finally got a female on the phone who said Clay would call me back. That was in May. TAPES WERE NEVER RETURNED AND DVD'S NEVER MADE. YEARS OF FAMILY MEMORIES LOCKED IN THE STORE. We purchased a Living Social voucher to have VHS tapes transferred to DVD's. We brought our tapes in on April 4, 2014. They said it would take 6-8 wks. We started calling at the end of May. Each time we called they had excuses why the tapes were not ready. Clay Giroux, owner of King Tapes, I ask on behalf of all your customers, please return our family memories on video. I do not want my money, but I do want my videos of my children. I hope you will step forward and do the right thing by returning our tapes.
SCAM!! Channel 10 news investigated last week. Hundreds of victims since December 2013. Trusted owner, Clay, with precious family videos and paid him upfront. He uses tons of excuses, latest one was death in family. Business now closed. Phone disconnected. He's in hiding.
RIP-OFF ALERT! I paid in advance for conversion of my VHS to DVD and then King Tapes DISAPPEARED off the face of the earth!!! They have my VHS tapes now, and they are not answering their PHONE and they are ALWAYS CLOSED, even though there is an "Open" sign in their window. So sorry I tried to do business with this unethical company in the first place. I strongly recommend you DO NOT do business with King Tapes.
Slow turn-around which I would have forgiven as I know they get quite busy. But when I received my tapes, they gave me the wrong ones. Instead of a martial arts practice I got some woman giving birth to her child :-o Communication is also very lacking. Waste of my money, paid them to lose my tapes... I could have done that myself!
