A very understaffed facility that I would not recommend sending loved ones to at all! Some of the staff there are nice and compassionate while others don’t seem to care about the patients at all and mistreat them very poorly.

This is the most horrible place I have ever seen in working in this field. I work with a personal client here and it is very under staffed most staff are rude rough and non caring. The verbal abuse the nasty attitude you get from most of the people sitting behind the desk on C wing it's so unwelcoming. Do not get me wrong there are a very select few aids that are and caring Donna being one of them. And one of the several nurses are amazing but unfortunately they can't be here all the time so we get the ones that do not care.... read more

My dad is the the rehab section of Birchwood. The kindness and thoughtfulness of the staff stands out! They always speak respectfully to him and empower him to improve. I enjoy watching his physical therapists and nurses work with him. I feel grateful that he is getting such good care.

I visited my husband who is recovering from a stroke, for 4 days straight . i found the place to be clean, the stafd is very friendly and knowledgeable. My husband had many complaints most seem unreasonable. As a retired nurse i think it is one of the better long term nursing and reachability facilities i have seen

I am karin's husband. The laundry here takes my clothes away and does not bring them back for TEN DAYS. I don't HAVE that many clothes, BIG PROBLEM! Many of the staff are great but they are severely understaffed. I had to fuss to get my toenails cut this morning, missing precious therapy time. They had been allowed to grow so long they curled under and were hurting, destabilizing my walking. I had never seen broccoli so overcooked it could not be picked up with a fork before i got stuck here.yukk! i
