I had been transferred to Kindred in San Leandro from another hospital. The hospital that I came from could not get my fistula to heal. With the help from Simon and the great team of doctors I was sent home after a couple weeks to continue to heal for my next surgery. I also want to thank my superstars in PT Joaquin Rocky Nikil and Veronica. You helped me get my strength back and be able to walk out the front door. I also want to thank Jeff in OT. I was his patient for 3 weeks at kindred hospital. I had to ask who this person was coming into my room, taking his stethoscope out and listen to my lungs/heart for a brief moment. Then BOOM! he was on to next patient. I was never notified about changes to my medication regimen (per his requests), I was left clueless as to my care (my ‘case manager’ said my Dr. said I was supposed to go to a SNF after my discharge; he never mentioned a THING about that to me).
