When it came time to pick a Hospice company for my Mom, I knew Gentiva was who we wanted. They also took care of my Dad 18 years ago at home, when they were known as Vista Care. Even though their name has changed, the care from their wonderful staff has not. Care starts with the admission nurse (ours was Jalah) who explains things completely and answered all of our questions. This is a wonderful company. I absolutely love being a nurse for them! Hands down the best hospice company around and will tell everyone if you need hospice call them .
I attended an All Staff meeting today at the Jasper branch and it was so uplifting. The nurses were sharing their " Why" which was so emotional. The nurses are here because it is their calling. The aides are phenomenal always going the extra mile for patients and their families. Families were complimentary of Chaplains Barry and Ed. Kudos Gentiva Jasper for all the loving care provided.
As a Kindred Hospice veteran volunteer I am pleased by how caring and sensitive the team responds to their patients. The veteran patients are recognized by receiving pin ceremonies that honor them for their particular service. They receive special blankets and certificates. It is my honor to salute them with heart and hand.
