Kind Senior Care is a great company that has made it possible for my parents to stay in their home in Portland. The caregivers are amazing, the scheduling and logistics are seamless, and the responsiveness to our particular issues and needs has been remarkable. They solved what had seemed to us like an unsolvable problem. I very highly recommend these guys.
If I could give zero stars, I would. Our family hired Kind to care for our 95-year-old loved one during an incredibly difficult time. Following a serious fall, she was under Hospice care, taking narcotic pain medication, and was extremely vulnerable. When our family made the decision to transition her care to another provider while waiting for Hospice to assume her schedule, we expected professionalism and compassion. Kind is professionally run, and they have great people. The cost per hour is higher than hiring an individual, but they make sure that the help they have is professional. If anybody is unavailable, they'll make sure to cover, and you can rely on them to take care of all the needs, including stepping up when you have special needs. My family has had a wonderful experience with Kind Senior Care. My mother is bedbound, and we wanted to bring her home from the facility she was in, but we needed reliable care to be with her especially when we are at work and overnight. Kind Senior Care has made that possible. Their caregivers are consistently kind, compassionate, and attentive. Kind Senior Care was an enormous help to my family at a time when my elderly father unexpectedly came to live with us. Our lives were suddenly upside down with the responsibility of caring for him as well as two school age kids and work.
