I was under her care for a year nine times my testing postponed and fought to not have my care postponed by the time I got to another doctor to be told I have cancer this doctor let me sit for a year and when I was telling her how could she have done that she's like I had no idea. How can you have no idea you put your patient off sick with cancer a year.
Booked an appointment several months ago to see Dr. Brizell. She was only able to book several months out, so I did. Now as my appointment approaches, after all that waiting, I just received a very rude call from her office informing me that Dr. Brizell will not be in the office the day of my appointment and that I need to reschedule…however she is now booking four more months out. I hate to write a 2 star review as I thought Dr. Brizell was a good doctor as far as I can tell and very nice, however there is a huge lack of transparency as far as cost. My insurance isn't great and this was my first time getting a colonoscopy so I called my insurance company to get an idea of the cost, they said to call the doctor. I spoke with Dr. Brizells office staff - 2 different people and they could not even give me a rough estimate? Doctor Brizell is a great medical professional, however, she and her team lack transparency when it comes to the costs of procedures. I was told my procedure would be a certain amount and after it was completed i received billed 2.5x the stated amount. This is poor business practice and quite unfair to patients. Would not recommend.
Dr Brizell is caring and detailed. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for GI doctor Excellent doctor & staff to work with!
