Dr. Schaap received her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. After a residency with the University of Minnesota’s Department of Orthopedic Surgery, she joined our clinic in 1999. Dr. Schaap has a special interest in sports medicine, including arthroscopic knee and shoulder procedures, as well as minimally invasive joint replacements. She is also experienced in robotically assisted joint replacement.

Dr. Schaap is terrific. Very personable. I never felt like we were rushed to get through the appointment.
DR Kim Schaap took the time to explain why the reasons for my shoulder hurting so much and different ways she could make it be more comfortable to live with . Her assistant Dr .Larry was very concerned also of how make my shoulder pain hurt less also . I am pleased with what they ended up doing giving me a Cortisone injections right into my shoulder bone.
