Was a patient of Dr. Kim for 4 years. He was initially very focused and inquisitive; even providing counseling that most psychiatrists today do not. After year 2, he dropped off into the haze of repetition and I no longer felt cared for. When I was laid off, the office did not work with me while transitioning to new health insurance after being a regular patient for 4+ years. Disappointing.
Dr. Kim is a very good doctor. I work in Healthcare and have seen the different approaches psychiatrists make in addressing psych. He is genuinely caring, takes his time to listen and get feedback from you as a patient. He tried to get to know you and establish a relationship as doctors should with their patients but is no longer common practice. He also is a neurologist which gives him more insight on effective treatment. Great doctor!
Took my daughter to go see doctor Kim. On the first visit he prescribed meds for her to take. To make a long story short, the doctor was corresponding with my daughter's school about her medical treatment without my written consent.
Has an absolutely horrendous girl, at his front desk. She has the personality of bug. In 7 years of using him as my psychiatrist, NEVER EVER ONCE DID HE GENUINELY LISTEN TO HOW I WAS TRULY FEELING. I am the complete idiot for NOT listening to my husband, & LEAVING ASAP. Only God knows why I chose to stay, knowing fully this so called Doctor was doing ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY NOTHING TO GET ME WELL. Every 5-6 weeks, it was the same identical routine, How are you feeling, ok, here are your RX's.
