Killer Ice Cream on West 4th is one of those places where the space is almost as much of the attraction as the ice cream itself. The colourful interior has a fun, playful vibe, and I liked how they mixed up the seating options instead of sticking to the usual tables and chairs. Between the benches, bleacher-style seating, and more traditional spots, it feels like a place designed for hanging out rather than just grabbing dessert and leaving. This was super fun to try! We came in 5 minutes before closing and the staff were incredible to give us time to make our decisions and craft our sundaes. Really adorable shop and fun merchandise to browse while we waited. We got the cookie monster and tropical sundaes. They were quite expensive (almost $25 for the two!), but I’m not sure they were totally worth it. stopped by Killer Ice Cream in Kitsilano to try one of the Hot Chocolate Festival drinks and had a great experience. I ordered the Sapphire Strawberry Fog, and overall the hot chocolate itself was rich, smooth, and comforting. The strawberry notes were subtle and well balanced. While I could have done without the added sprinkles in the drink, they did not take away from the quality of the hot chocolate. Good fro-yo; I love places with frozen fruit you can choose yourself. Also nice that they offer mint and basil as possible additions to your fruit. I didn’t get it this time, but maybe if I get the chance to stop by again. My friend liked their Cookie Monster sundae! Weirdly enough, the only issue we had is the spoons they give you! For whatever reason, the edges of the spoon cut up our mouths. The both of us have cuts on either side of our upper lips where the spoons had nicked us over and over while eating.
