I've used Kilgore for my business and personal taxes for the past 3 years, and don't recommend them. Last year I was selling my business and met with Randy in July 2024, to get an estimate on how much capital gains could be. When I arrived, Randy was not prepared and "asked why I was there?" I told him I was selling my business (for approximately $2M) and need help planning for capital gains. Randy quickly tells me "he’s a numbers guy, and not comfortable with hypothetical numbers". This guy tried to charge me twice as much from his original quote to do my taxes and only did half the work. I had someone else finish the job he couldn’t do. Turned out to be a costly experience would not trust nor recommend.
Called to get an approximate cost of services and the lady who picked up immediately told me they’re not accepting new clients, only referrals. Never even asked who referred me…
Narcissistic tax preparation, no accountability for mistakes. Severely overpriced. No longer a client.
