I LOVE their races! I can’t say enough about how fun Kick It’s races and events are for every participant- I love running them, bringing my family to join including my kids when they ran their first race. Was very disappointed in how race cancellation was handled with this company. Although at the very bottom of the website it did say "no refunds" the director herself said they had been doing this race for 16years and have never cancelled, this in itself shows how unlikely that is and why no one would sign up thinking they would cancel without any alternative plan in place. My first experience with these race directors was at fundraising event at their kids' school. I was floored by the amenities. (A bag check at a 10K?!) They also did the mundane things better than everyone else, the shirts, the snacks, the parking, the volunteers, the communication, safety, everything was exemplary. Definitely the right call on the race with the temperature and wind chill. Then throw in the snow/ice. Running may not have been so bad if you stayed upright. But it would have been really harsh on race personnel and especially the volunteers.
